The global tug, towage and salvage industry will gather in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 19-21 May 2026 for the International Tug & Salvage Convention, Exhibition & Awards (ITS 2026) – the first time the event has ever been held in Scandinavia.
Bringing together over 1,000 senior maritime professionals from more than 70 countries, ITS 2026 will offer visitors a unique opportunity to experience the latest innovations shaping the future of maritime operations, while connecting directly with the global companies, technologies and decision-makers driving the industry forward.
Hosted in Gothenburg – home to the Nordic region’s largest port and recognised internationally for maritime innovation and sustainability – ITS 2026 is expected to become one of the most significant maritime industry gatherings to take place in Scandinavia in 2026.
The exhibition will showcase the latest advances in tug technology, digitalisation, sustainability, electrification, engineering, training, software and operational services, giving visitors direct access to the solutions transforming harbour, offshore and terminal operations worldwide.
Attendees will represent the full maritime supply chain, including ports and terminals, shipowners and operators, shipyards, naval architects, consultants, brokers, legal and insurance specialists, class societies, government authorities, training organisations and logistics providers.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet many of the world’s leading shipbuilders, technology providers and marine equipment specialists exhibiting at ITS 2026. Confirmed participating companies include Caterpillar Marine, Port of Gothenburg, Damen Shipyards, Berg Propulsion, Sanmar Shipyards, Robert Allan Ltd, Harbor Star Shipping Services, UZMAR Shipyard, Schottel, and Rolls-Royce Solutions, Svitzer, Boluda Towage, Multraship, Seaspan Marine Transportation, SAAM Towage, Rivtow Marine, Donjon Marine alongside a growing list of internationally recognised companies from across the global tug, towage and workboat sectors.
Held in association with Caterpillar Marine, the event will highlight the latest developments in marine power, operational performance and digital support solutions. Leading shipbuilders exhibiting at the event will showcase next-generation tug designs, including electric, hybrid, LNG and methanol-fuelled vessels, reflecting the industry’s growing focus on sustainability and future-ready operations.
Beyond the exhibition floor, ITS 2026 will provide exceptional opportunities for networking, collaboration and business development, enabling Nordic and international maritime professionals to build new partnerships and exchange insight on the challenges and opportunities shaping the global industry.
